A Unique Gathering: Reflected on Luke 2:1-21 Amidst the Noise and Smell

As the Christmas season approached, we invited everyone to a truly unique gathering beside a rubbish dump area. The setting might have seemed unconventional, but it held a powerful symbolic meaning. Our intention was to immerse ourselves in an experience that mirrored the conditions of Jesus' birth in a humble manger – noisy, smelly, and far from the comforts of a conventional setting.

The Setting: Beside the Rubbish Dump

The choice of location was intentional. It allowed us to step into the shoes of those who witnessed the birth of Christ in less-than-ideal conditions. As we gathered, we acknowledged the noise and smell, aiming to connect with the reality of that significant night over two thousand years ago.

Reading and Reflecting on Luke 2:1-21

In the midst of the unconventional surroundings, we read and reflected on Luke 2:1-21, the timeless account of the birth of Jesus.
